AI: productivity and human judgement

Explain the tool before judging it

An information system combines people, procedures, data and technology. Artificial intelligence may support classification, document processing or the detection of unusual transactions. Its usefulness depends on the task and the quality of the information available.

Automation can release time for analysis, but unreliable outputs, sensitive data exposure and over-reliance are possible risks. A company needs clear responsibilities and a process for checking unusual results.

Build a balanced answer

Instead of saying “AI will replace accountants”, distinguish between tasks and jobs. Some tasks can be automated while other activities require explanation, judgement and communication with clients. A reasoned answer describes how roles may change rather than predicting a certain outcome.

Exercice
